A deferred gift is a gift commitment that is made today with the actual gift proceeds received at some future date. The most common form of a deferred gift is a bequest in a will or a trust provision. A deferred gift is a way for people who wish to support Avondale but are unable for various reasons to do so today. |
| |
It is important to consider your goals when planning a gift. It may be an opportunity to support Avondale with a gift to be used for its greatest needs or a desire to accomplish a personally meaningful goal that benefits some specific area of Avondale. Usually, a gift given for a specific area will result in the creation of a permanent endowment fund. |
| |
Endowment funds are created from gifts where the donated principal is held in perpetuity and only annual distributions are used to support the designated program. |
| |
Our staff can work with you on an individual basis to ensure that your gift will be used in a way that will carry out your goals as well as the mission of Avondale. |
