| Ministerial Training Scholarships |
| |
The Ministerial Training Scholarship is offered to deserving students in the final two years of the Bachelor program or the final year of their Graduate Diploma program. Worth up to $4,500 per annum the scholarships are able to be offered through the generous donations and bequests of persons who are committed to supporting deserving Avondale students who are training for ministry. |
| |
The scholarship criteria and regulations are as follows; |
| |
1. |
The recipient will normally undertake a study load of 24 credit points each semester. |
2. |
Continuance is contingent upon passing all subjects. The scholarship will be suspended for the semester following the failure of any subject, and then reinstated following the next semester in which all subjects are passed. |
3. |
The funds will be applied to the recipient’s Avondale College account each semester and cannot be redeemed for cash, in whole or in part. |
4. |
The recipient can only receive benefit from one Avondale College sponsored scholarship per year. Applicants are advised that acceptance of this scholarship means that the applicant will forfeit any concurrent benefits of any other Avondale College scholarship or bursary held. |
5. |
If payment of the full scholarship would place a student’s account in credit for any one year the excess funds may be applied to that student’s account for the following year. |
6. |
The award of a scholarship does not guarantee an offer of paid employment in field ministry by the Seventh-day Adventist Church upon graduation. |
7. |
This scholarship is open to persons who are eligible for employment within Australia and New Zealand. |
